Kit to fit our VNT Turbocharger to a 200Tdi Land Rover Defender
This kit comprises of a new VNT MAHLE manufactured turbocharger with a new exhaust manifold to replace your existing standard LR wastegated Turbo.
The kit uses the well proven variable nozzle turbo (VNT) as used on the International HS2.8 engine to give the 200 Tdi increased horsepower and greater low speed torque.
This turbocharger has the effect of developing higher torque at approximately 400 rpm lower than the standard ‘200’ Tdi. This is especially useful for pull away performance in automatic vehicles, in addition it is great for extra low down torque with manual vehicles.
Performance figures: (The performance figures stated below are achievable with an engine in good condition and a suitable exhaust and air cleaner system, more power can be achieved by fitting our uprated injector pump and our 2.8 upgrade; kit 170A)

***NOTE: REQUIRES PUMA DEFENDER BONNET TO BE FITTED***. Unfortunately, due to the turbocharger layout on the 200Tdi engine, when our VNT is fitted it sits too high to clear the original early Defender bonnet.
