300Tdi Heavy duty radiator and double row intercooler complete assembly

A complete, drop-in replacement assembly for 300Tdi engines.

This complete assembly consists of the MD Engineering heavy-duty radiator, double row intercooler and LH side frame panel.

Heavy-Duty Radiator: 

A replacement, uprated radiator for 300Tdi vehicles.
This unit is constructed with a heavy-duty copper core containing 4 rows (standard radiator has 3 rows) and brass top and bottom tanks, it gives a much improved cooling performance. The standard oil cooler is retained in this radiator.
This radiator was specifically designed for the UK Ministry of Defence when they fitted 2.8’s into some of their military Defenders. This radiator is designed for hotter climates and used in vehicles that are modified from standard.
All standard hoses and pipework will fit without modification.
Can be used on Defender, Discovery and Range Rover vehicles fitted with 300Tdi engines.
Also suitable for Motor & Diesel Engineering repower conversions using the International HS2.8 engine and our 2.8300 VNT engine.

Double Row Intercooler: 

A replacement, uprated intercooler for 300Tdi vehicles.
This unit is constructed with larger top and bottom aluminium tanks and a significantly larger aluminium core to aid reducing the air inlet temperature to the engine. The core is twice/‘double’ the depth of the 1 standard intercooler, its cooling performance is some 50% greater than the standard intercooler.
We recommend this intercooler for any of our 2.8 engines or any tuned 300Tdi’s, we do not recommend a full width intercooler as they cover up air flow to the radiator which can impede the ability of the radiator to keep the engine cool. A cooler engine water temperature is more important that a cooler air inlet temperature.

LH Side Frame Panel:

When using the double row intercooler, all standard hoses and pipework will fit without modification. However, modification is required to the LH intercooler/radiator frame, to enable the larger intercooler to fit. This assembly includes a ready-made LH side frame panel, therefore no modifications are required.
