Kit to adapt the 4 cylinder mechanical injection 2.8 na & turbo 4jb1 and 3.1 turbo 4jg2 Isuzu diesel engines to V8 Land Rover gearboxes.

This kit adapts to V8 gearboxes, manual and automatic, in Classic Range Rovers, Discovery and Defender V8 vehicles. Please select below whether a manual or automatic kit is required.

Full fitting instructions included.

Optional extras (please select below if required):

  • A pair of front engine mounting brackets to fit the standard V8 chassis mounting bracket.

What’s Included:

Kit 257 includes:

  • Steel Adaptor plate
  • Manual spigot bearing / Automatic spigot aligner
  • Clutch cover spacer (used to utilise the standard Isuzu clutch cover and flywheel with a LR 4 cylinder type drive plate)
  • Hardware; adaptor plate to Isuzu cylinder block
  • Hardware & dowels; adaptor plate to V8 transmission

Optional extras (please select above if required):

  • Engine mounting feet (bolts onto the Isuzu cylinder block then allowing the engine to sit onto standard V8 chassis bracket and rubbers)
