Description
A kit of parts to increase the 300 Tdi engines capacity to 2785cc from 2495cc.
Based around many of the International HS2.8 internal parts, this kit increases the cubic capacity of the 300Tdi from 2.5 litres to 2.8 litres. This is achieved by increasing the bore and stroke, HS 2.8 – 93mm bore and 102.5mm stroke. ‘300’ Tdi – 90.47mm bore and 97mm stroke
The kit comprises of :-
1. New crankshaft.
2. Set of new connecting rods.
3. Set of new pistons and rings.
4. Set of new big end bearings.
5. Set of new main bearings.
6. Set of new thrust washers.
7. Special metal layer head gasket.
8. Full instructions and dimensions for rebore of block.
PERFORMANCE (The performance figures stated below are achievable with an engine in good condition, a correctly set FIP, a suitable exhaust and aircleaner system, see installation data below)
Standard 300Tdi 2.8 conversion with 300Tdi
wastegate turbo wastegate turbo with uprated FIP pump
Maximum power :- 111 bhp @ 4,000 rpm 132 bhp @ 4,000 rpm
Maximum torque :- 195 lbf ft @ 1,800 rpm 251 lbf ft @ 1,800 rpm
If our VNT conversion kit 27 or 28 (£1545 + VAT) is also added, performance similar to a standard new international HS 2.8 engine can be achieved, see figures below and Link to our kit 27;
