Motor & Diesel Engineering, founded 30 years ago by David
Jackson, has developed extensive expertise in applications engineering for
both petrol and diesel engines, and has gained substantial knowledge of the
UK automotive and industrial markets. In particular we have a wealth of experience
in re-powering all types of Land Rover vehicles.
Motor & Diesel Engineering are now based on a 2 acre site near Lincoln.
We have a modern 300 square metre workshop and parts warehouse. The business
concentrates on the sales of engines and parts. The company also specialises
on vehicle applications engineering development work.
We also have modern workshop facilities to carry out re-power conversions on
customer's vehicles. We continue to provide service support for all M&D
customers.
Engine installations are carefully developed using M&D's extensive application
engineering know-how. We take particular care to ensure that each installation
conforms to the technical requirements of the engine manufacturer.
Over the last 18 months we have developed re-power conversion kits to fit the
new HS 2.8L TGV engine in to all Range Rovers from 1969 to 2002, Land Rover
Defenders from 1983 to 1998 and Discoverys from 1989 to 1998. All our kits
are supplied with a parts list detailing every part and a complete instruction
leaflet with illustrations to help fit the re-power conversion. We have developed
extensive expertise in re-power conversions over the last 22 years and offer
the best and highest quality conversions in the market. We also offer a comprehensive
technical after sales service.
We now stock the HS 2.8L TGV engines and a complete range of spare parts. A
few parts are common to the Land Rover Tdi engine. We continue to offer a full
range of spare parts for the Mazda SL, SLT, SLTI and Perkins 4.182 / Mazda
Mk 2 engines. We continue to supply parts for all the re-power conversions
we have supplied over the last 20 years.
Since 2000 we have been supplying LPG conversions for London taxis. Over the
last 3 years we have been working on emissions solutions to comply with the Mayor
of London's emission strategy for London taxis. Implementation of this strategy
starts in July 2006. We have recently been appointed by STT Emtec AB as a dealer
for their CleanCab turbo charging, EGR and inter-cooler system for London Taxis.
